Description

The brief was a strategy game companion dashboard — nothing more. Hexgrid is what came out: a dark & moody dashboard that gets out of the way once you have what you came for.

  • One dependency, and it is the framework
  • Fully typed end to end
  • Deploys on push, no build config

Made with v0 and Supabase. Roughly 80% of the first draft survived to production, which is not something I could have said about any project before this one.

Next up: better empty states, and a proper import path for people arriving with existing data.

Workflow

  1. Sketched the grid + timeline layout in Cursor

Spacing on a single scale. Every hand-picked pixel value in the first draft turned into a bug somebody else had to find.

  2. Wired a Supabase realtime channel for match state

Row-level security from the start — it is far harder to retrofit than to write while the table is still empty.

  3. Tuned contrast until every counter passed AA

Row-level security from the start — it is far harder to retrofit than to write while the table is still empty.
