Description
Pulseboard started as a weekend experiment and turned into the thing I actually use. It is an uptime monitoring dashboard, drawn minimal, and deliberately small: one screen, one job, no settings page.
- Responsive down to a phone without a separate layout
- Every action is undoable
- Shareable state — the URL is the document
Stack is Cursor and Supabase. Nothing exotic: the interesting work was in the data model, and the UI followed once that was right.
Still rough: the mobile layout works but has not been designed, and I know it.
Workflow
Built the heatmap grid
Built it as one component with props rather than three near-copies — the variants that nothing passed got deleted a week later.
Added incident timeline
Measured it before tuning it — the slow part was not where it looked like it was.
