34. CirrusStudio

Analytics console

by Sam Whitaker

Preview of CirrusStudio

Description

CirrusStudio started as a weekend experiment and turned into the thing I actually use. It is an analytics console, drawn playful, and deliberately small: one screen, one job, no settings page.

  • Real data from the first commit — no fixtures
  • Errors say what happened and what to do
  • Accessible: labelled, focusable, and readable at 200% zoom

Stack is Lovable. Nothing exotic: the interesting work was in the data model, and the UI followed once that was right.

Next up: better empty states, and a proper import path for people arriving with existing data.

Workflow

  1. Generated the first pass in Lovable

Kept the prompts in the repo next to what they produced, so a regeneration six months later starts from the same place.
