Description
This started as a slow journalism collective and was rebuilt from scratch after the first version collapsed under its own options. Longhand keeps the editorial shell and throws away everything that was not being used.
- Responsive down to a phone without a separate layout
- Every action is undoable
- Shareable state — the URL is the document
Bolt and Astro did most of the lifting. I wrote the schema by hand and let the generated components follow it rather than the other way round.
Open to feedback, especially on the parts I have stopped being able to see.
Workflow
Generated the first pass in Bolt
Iterated on the prompt rather than on the output — fixing the generated code by hand meant losing the fix on the next regeneration.
